Kilimanjaro Summit Trek

The summit of Kilimanjaro, the rooftop of Africa and the ultimate African adventure awaits those who dare! Kilimanjaro is the tallest free standing mountain in the world and stands at 5,895m. Kibo the snow capped peak is one of the most recognisable sights in the world of adventure and it is the challenge and goal for those who are prepared to tackle the landscape and the altitude to reach the summit.

The Kilimanjaro Summit trek follows the southwest Machame route to the top and over 6 days you will acclimatise to the altitude, trek through five varied eco systems, become firm friends with your fellow trekkers and learn a good deal of Swahili and songs about Kilimanjaro as you go!

On the fourth day you will reach summit camp with Uhuru Peak within your grasp. Summit night will see the adventure start at midnight – your challenge will be a test of endurance and will power. By night you will enjoy the incredible star-studded African skies above you and you'll be guided by the dots of light from the head torches of climbers higher up.

As the sun rises over the African plains you'll have reached Stella Point, a short walk from the summit, and be able to look back on your vast progress through the night. Walking round the crater rim you'll reach the top of the highest mountain of Africa and you'll have completed an adventure that will stay with you forever.
