Careers - Events Driver

Events Drivers are practical and hard-working individuals who are committed to providing excellent service and event experiences for Adventure participants. They are prepared to work outdoors with irregular and often long hours to ensure the important behind-the-scenes logistics are completed to ensure event delivery. In return for volunteering and supporting these charity challenges a driver will get to be part of the team, experience and see some of the most incredible parts of the UK and abroad.

Introduction
Student Adventures recognises the desire in young people to experience the world, challenge themselves beyond natural comfort zones and make a difference to the community around them. Student Adventures is pleased to be able to meet all these needs by offering tailor made charity adventure challenges throughout Europe and around the world that enable our clients to have truly 'once in a lifetime' experiences as they take in visually stunning surroundings and experience cultures of the world up close on a variety of adventures.

Job Purpose
Events Driver's principal role is to drive vehicles of different types to enable logistical movements of people and equipment on adventures to ensure that the event provision is delivered to expectations and the customer experience is first class. Events Drivers' roles and responsibilities will vary from event to event based on event needs and the number of clients, which means flexibility and adaptability, are important.

Responsibilities
The role and responsibilities of an Events Drivers includes but not exclusively:

• Support clients whilst on an adventure to ensure an unforgettable and great experience
• Drive an event vehicle to move equipment and or event clients
• Managing radio and phone communications to convey event information to all event staff and clients where appropriate
• Transporting clients from location to location
• Mechanical and equipment maintenance
• Any other duty that can reasonably be asked of the Officer to ensure good event delivery and event experience for clients

Re-numeration
The role of Events Driver is a voluntary role and your expenses will be paid for and your accommodation and catering throughout the event will be provided for.
